Talking about ending the year in grand style... here’s one of such grandeur...
Popular OAP, formerly with Love FM Umuahia, presently with Radio One Lagos,
Victor Oton, Preferably called Godpikin by all is one who has registered himself in the minds of many as Witty, Funny, intelligent yet Simple and humble. These among other qualities have led to him bagging various awards and ambassadorial positions especially amongst the youths in Abia State.
One of such awards include the one he just bagged at The much awaited, just concluded Abia facts award, through an online voting system.
The event which held on the 28th of December 2017 was filled with excitement and great personalities as who is who in Abia stormed the evergreen hall venue of the awards.
Adding color to the events were personalities such as Chief David Ogba Onuoha (Bourdex) Hon Chinedum Orji and John Okiyi Kalu who were also witnesses when the Radio pidgin maestro, Godpikin, was invited to the stage for his award.
Presenting the Award, Sen.T.A Orji who spoke through former commissioner for transport Hon Longman stressed that Godpikin have been missed. In his words, “we have missed your voice, we have missed you turning serious matters to jokes, we have missed your flair for pidgin on Radio, we have missed the early morning birthday calls, we have missed village peeps, we have missed how your area, we have missed your brand of traffic wahala, Abians have missed you”
No doubt, Godpikin, the OAP slash MC with the unique  baritone Voice have been missed by Abians. Radio one Lagos has got a great Talent in their hands.
The award recipient however, thanked the organizers for nominating him, thanked his numerous fans across the south south, southeast and southwest who made use of their time and data to vote him, he also thanked Abians for making him a brand to reckon with.
The Akwa Ibom born and Delta bred OAP and Master of ceremony per excellence, Specifically mentioned as well as appreciated men of Abia extraction who have developed trust in his brand and have given him bigger platforms to handle events, they include Charles ogbonaya, commissioner for trade and investment, Engr. Chinedum Orji (Ikuku), Hon. Kaycee Onuzuruike, Hon. John Okiyi Kalu and others too numerous to mention.

British Scientist, Stephen Hawkings Dies at 76, 55 Years After He Was Given 2years to Live.

Stephen W. Hawking , the Cambridge University physicist and best-selling author who roamed the cosmos from a wheelchair, pondering the nature of gravity and the origin of the universe and becoming an emblem of human determination and curiosity, died early Wednesday at his home in Cambridge, England. He was 76. His death was confirmed by a spokesman for Cambridge University. “Not since Albert Einstein has a scientist so captured the public imagination and endeared himself to tens of millions of people around the world,” Michio Kaku,  a professor of theoretical physics at the City University of New York, said in an interview. Dr. Hawking did that largely through his book  “A Brief History of Time: From the Big Bang to Black Holes,” published in 1988.
